Quick overview
Bringing a Parramatta restaurant’s food, reservations, and direct orders into one website.
The website combines the restaurant’s food presentation with direct customer journeys for dining reservations and online orders.
The business and the brief
Introduction
New Thousand Spices is an Indian restaurant in Parramatta. Its website needed to communicate the character of the food while making a visit or takeaway order easier to arrange. We brought food photography, direct online ordering, and table reservations into a connected digital experience, supported by local social campaigns.
A restaurant website has to support different intentions: choosing somewhere to eat, planning a visit, or ordering a meal. The project brought those journeys together without reducing the experience to a list of links. Photography establishes the food offer, while direct booking and ordering make the next action practical.
What needed to change
The challenge
- Reliance on third-party delivery platforms limited the restaurant’s direct relationship with customers.
- The website did not communicate the food and atmosphere through strong visual content.
- Customers needed a straightforward way to reserve a table or place a direct order.
Our approach · 01
Making the food central to the experience
Professional food photography gives the website a more specific and appetising introduction to the restaurant. The visual content supports the dining offer and helps visitors connect what they see with the meal they want to order or experience.
Photography communicates details that generic restaurant copy cannot. Giving the food a central visual role helps visitors understand the style of the offer before they decide whether to book or order. The images therefore support the customer journey as well as the restaurant’s identity.

Our approach · 02
Connecting browsing with orders and reservations
We integrated direct online ordering and table booking into the site. These paths give customers clear options depending on whether they are planning a visit or ordering food, rather than leaving the next step outside the experience.
Reservations and takeaway orders begin from the same interest in the food but lead to different actions. Giving each a clear path helps visitors make the appropriate choice. Direct integrations keep those actions connected with the restaurant’s website rather than making the experience depend entirely on external discovery platforms.

Our approach · 03
Bringing local attention back to the restaurant
Local social media campaigns support discovery and weekend dining interest. The website provides a direct destination for that activity, connecting the restaurant’s visual story with practical booking and ordering actions.
Local campaign activity is most useful when the destination supports the action it invites. The website connects visual interest in the restaurant with an opportunity to reserve a table or order food, bringing communication and customer action into a more coherent journey.
