Quick overview
Bringing everyday business operations into a connected ERP platform with clearer reporting.
Nera ERP brings core operational functions into a shared platform designed for coordinated workflows and more accessible reporting.
The business and the brief
Introduction
Nera ERP is an enterprise resource planning product developed by Icon Global Digital for small and medium-sized businesses. The project addresses a practical operational problem: teams relying on disconnected systems for people, stock, sales, and finance. We designed a modular platform that connects those functions through role-based workspaces, workflow automation, and shared reporting.
The core challenge was coordination. When staff work across separate tools, the same information can be entered more than once and interpreted differently by different teams. The ERP’s structure needed to address those relationships between functions, rather than simply putting several independent dashboards in the same application.
What needed to change
The challenge
- Disconnected tools and repeated data entry made everyday business processes harder to coordinate.
- Managers lacked a shared view of stock, activity, and business performance.
- The platform needed to support different responsibilities without exposing every function to every user.
Our approach · 01
Structuring the system around responsibilities
We organised HR, inventory, sales, and finance into modules with role-based dashboards. Each workspace presents the tasks and information relevant to its users, keeping a broad operational system easier to navigate.
A role-based workspace helps users orient themselves in a broad system. The distinction between modules reflects different responsibilities, while shared navigation keeps those workspaces connected. This makes the architecture understandable in terms of everyday work rather than requiring every user to navigate every function.

Our approach · 02
Connecting workflows and shared information
Automation links recurring processes such as payroll and purchase orders. Shared data and reporting help teams work from a more consistent operational picture rather than repeatedly transferring information between separate tools.
Workflow automation is most useful when it connects the points at which teams exchange information. Bringing operational processes into a shared platform reduces dependence on moving details manually between systems. Reporting then draws on that connected picture, giving managers a more coherent basis for reviewing activity.

Our approach · 03
Creating a foundation for controlled growth
User permissions, audit trails, and backend architecture support the management of access and system activity. API integration capabilities provide a foundation for connecting additional business tools as requirements evolve.
Access control and system visibility become more important as additional people and functions use the platform. Permissions and audit trails provide a way to manage those responsibilities, while integration capabilities acknowledge that an ERP may need to work alongside other business tools rather than replace every system.

The work delivered
Scope of delivery
- Engineered a modular ERP platform with role-based dashboards for HR, Sales, Inventory, and Finance
