Quick overview
Refining a Sri Lankan skincare store around mobile shopping, flexible payments, and repeat purchases.
The Shopify store brings product discovery, local payment flexibility, and repeat shopping features into a more coherent retail experience.
The business and the brief
Introduction
Beautymart.lk sells international skincare brands to customers in Sri Lanka. The store needed a shopping experience that made products easier to evaluate and purchasing more convenient on mobile. We reworked the Shopify storefront, improved performance, and connected local payment options with retention features so the website could support both first-time buyers and returning customers.
Skincare shopping often involves comparing products before committing to a purchase. The storefront therefore had to support research as well as checkout, with a presentation that works on a phone and payment options relevant to local customers. Returning shoppers also needed reasons and practical tools to continue using the store.
What needed to change
The challenge
- Slow pages and an outdated storefront created friction during product discovery.
- Limited checkout payment options did not reflect the flexibility local customers expected.
- The store needed a more consistent mobile journey and clearer paths for returning shoppers.
Our approach · 01
Bringing clarity to skincare shopping
The storefront uses a refined visual hierarchy and product presentation to help customers browse the range. Product page content and search metadata give the catalogue a stronger structure for both discovery and evaluation.
Product presentation has to balance visual quality with the information needed to make a decision. The catalogue structure and product content support that balance, giving the store a more consistent basis for browsing and search. The goal is a shopping experience in which navigation and product detail work together.

Our approach · 02
Addressing friction at checkout
We integrated MintPay and Payzy alongside the store’s payment journey. Mobile layout and performance improvements support the transition from browsing to checkout, with attention to the experience of customers shopping on phones.
Payment flexibility only helps if it sits within an understandable checkout. The integration work was considered alongside the mobile shopping flow, so the path from a chosen product to payment remains connected. Performance improvements support the same task by reducing friction while customers browse and proceed with their order.

Our approach · 03
Supporting the next purchase
Wishlist, loyalty, and reordering flows give returning customers practical ways to continue shopping. These features extend the project beyond a visual refresh and connect the storefront with an ongoing customer relationship.
Retention features serve customers who already know what they want as well as those still comparing options. Reordering supports familiar purchases, while wishlists and loyalty flows extend the relationship beyond a single transaction. Together, they give the storefront a broader role than presenting products for a first visit.
